Holy Forest, the Sacred Grove at Muchukunnu, Kozhikode

Muchukunnu Kottayil Kavu situated at Muchukunnu, near Quilandy in Kozhikode district (Kerala, India) exemplifies an effort to preserve the treasure- trove of nature. Kottayil Kavu is a part of Muchukunnu Kottayil Shiva temple, encircled by an elegant wall, surrounded by thick vegetation of the Kavu and a well structured big pond bestowing an enchanting natural holy ambience to it. According to a report by Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI), Peechi, Kottayil kavu is the one among the 22 remaining Virgin Forests of Kerala.

Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Museum, Thrissur

Taking the rich Ayurveda legacy forward, the Vaidyaratnam group has set up an Ayurveda museum at Thaikkattussery(Thrissur Dt, Kerala, India)  recently .Conceptualised during the 100th birth anniversary of the late. E.T. Neelakandhan Mooss, the Ayurveda museum is set up with a vision of transferring the knowledge and experience of our yesteryear generations to the succeeding ones. It was inaugurated by the former president of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam on 27 December 2013.

The International Vedic Workshop is the most prominent get-together of Indologists involved in the study of the Vedas the world over. The focus of the 6th International Vedic Workshop was on Vedic texts and rituals, their scholarly interpretation, and their traditional performance with special emphasis on Vedic traditions of Kerala - recitation, texts, commentaries, and rituals, and their applications in Srauta, Grhya, Tantra etc.
